I&#39;m a total novice at lockpicking so I decided to just disassemble my very used (bought locally for cheap!), but new to me, ABUS Extra Classe, to see what was in there. Mine has dual cylinders so disassembly/reassembly was a bit more complicated. The BIG difference with mine was that the little mystery holes on the cores (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bWX9bkoMMc&amp;t=380">06:20</a>) were NOT plugged! I didn&#39;t know what it was or why it was there, but as another YouTuber (Ozzy Man Reviews) would say, I went straight to &quot;Destination F&quot;! During reassembly I carelessly rotated the core and ... CLICK! ... the mystery hole aligned with the bible and a driver pin popped up into it ... Of course it immediately seized the core and now it won&#39;t move at all. That side is totally F&#39;ed.<br><br>Fortunately I realized what happened and was very careful reassembling the other side. At least I can practice with that after I develop some skills.<br><br>I learned a valuable lesson and I am SUPER glad this lock wasn&#39;t one that needed to be used. I&#39;m pretty sure it used to be a door lock for a flat.<br><br>Is there a trick to get that driver pin out of that little trap hole? ... chemicals/acid that will dissolve the pins/springs but not the core/lock body? ... only a drill? Fortunately I&#39;ll be able to practice with the other side, but it&#39;d be nice to return the entire thing to usability. Great great picking my friend, this is a really nasty lock to pick, congrats buddy ;o)))<br>The extra classe has a very narrow keyway. This one is very worn and has a relatibly open keyway, but still is a evil lock because the pins are set very deep in the keyway, the tapered spools are very very difficult to set, they move with difficulty. I have picked newer ones and they are easyer than this one. You are already very good in the dimple lock picking ;o)))<br>Thanks for your kind words about me my friend, you honor me ;o))<br>Cheers!!

Wow, picking Abus Extra Classe with flat flag is a challenge in challenge! I manage to pick my Abus EC only when I used curved flag. Great job!
