------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @heatshield 29.06.2018 My hope is that you can tune audio for even more internal lock sounds. I know there are precision sensors that may even help you lighten that naughty bucket, a bit. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that would be very interesting, occasionally. Just warn us first. "In just a minute, guys, I'll be switching to the Invasive Micro Stethoscope k5000." @bosnianbill 30.06.2018->Funny! I actually have a contact microphone that I'd like to attach to the lock and record it on a different track, but want to get the voice track perfected first. It is a gremlin that I've been struggling with... @jamesthe-doctor8981 04.09.2019->@@bosnianbill I don't know if you're doing this now, but if not, I think it's worth doing, if it's possible to do. Getting those various clicks "up front" in your videos' audio tracks sounds like it would be great for us subs. I guess that should increase your subs, as well. A piezoelectric pickup would probably do the trick very nicely.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @notanaz5976 13.01.2022 Hi there , can you make a video please of dimple CISA285 84 ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @stitchem7 08.09.2020 Maybe the elongated pin is to cause a false or premature set, to make it harder to pick?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @Acknaar 09.09.2019 666p on the key lol
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @dianedoncheski9620 17.07.2019 Audio is cleaned up. Good job!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @jayeff337 22.04.2019 It sounded to me like you had a booger kinda flopping in your nose. Kinda as if you were sick. Jmo
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @chucknaround5271 04.12.2018 Sounds good to me
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @lxRAVERxl 08.07.2018 Good times!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @AlisonWheeler 02.07.2018 I'm still hearing the whistling noise on your videos but I've still not managed to isolate the reason for it. It is related to when you speak, but not exactly in sync. But, as always, an informative video, thanks!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @samsworldofrations6996 01.07.2018 Great tutorial video ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @aikimark1955 01.07.2018 You still have something that sounds like chirping in your audio stream
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @shawnfindlay7987 01.07.2018 Bill, your skill and dedication to the craft is second to none. I have learned so much from your channel. Much love.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @law-ofohms7815 01.07.2018 I often hear noise when watching your video's. It's quite annoying. Turns out it was the wife. Just ignore it. This problem happens a lot, you eventually tune it out. @bosnianbill 01.07.2018->? So THAT'S what everyone's talking about...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @felixyu1602 01.07.2018 Audio seems fine but got echo (?) from the microphone or you need to do some balancing before the initial recording
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @xXDeltaXxwhotookit 30.06.2018 Audio is fine for my ears... bit of noise when moving the mic / camera around, but that's to be expected.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @BD90.. 30.06.2018 Hey Bill can you try pick one of these on camera sometime. Here is the link.
Mindy lock with Keys Indoor and Outdoor Zinc Alloy Big Padlock, AF13-60 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01ARPKQDS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_mF5nBb9ZD1Y5K @bosnianbill 08.07.2018->Those Mindy locks are quite challenging. I have one almost identical to the one in the link you sent (same key, different lock body) that I have not yet figured out how to tension. Some of those Chinese Alien technology locks can be really nasty - I have several and should probably do a video to show them off. The weirdness factor on them is pretty high. @BD90.. 08.07.2018->Bosnianbill I have tensioned them myself and picked them with a filed key. It works of course but you need to be careful as these are fragile mechanisms. I look forwards to your videos on such locks too. The link is to one of my videos on how I got it to tension them. https://youtu.be/AzZDrd0K5fo ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @johnrobinson357 30.06.2018 I listen using a separate amplifier and good quality two way sealed speakers. What i derived was a wider frequency range with a peak between 1,200 Hz or so to around 250 Hz. A high end cutoff about 8k, no doubt you tubes doing and a more probable roll off around 5k or so. Taking into account the pre emphasis of my tonal adjustments......Low end roll off may be closer to 800hz or so +/- a bit on both ends...
Bill, a little something for you to experiment with : A lapel electret condenser mike. The kind you clip on a sport coat - etc.
A lump of Plasticine clay molded around the mike stuck to the lock. Mike body touching the lock. Lots and lots of clear
pin sounds that way. Fine tune the levels and there it is, cheap easy and no fiddles. just stick it on the lock - done.
Not sure how many inputs you have to work with, but it looks like at least 2. That's my 50 cents worth.. @bosnianbill 30.06.2018->John, thanks for the info. I'm already on it! I have a contact microphone ready to go, but first wanted to kill the gremlin that seems to be plaguing the voice track. Insofar as tracks, I'm using a Zoom F4, so can record up to 6 tracks if needed (it isn't). At most, I'll use 3 tracks (me, a guest when required, and the contact mic). I do have a Sony Levalier ECM 44B Pro, but want to give the new Heil PR-40 (dynamic) a chance first. I've used the 44B a couple of times and the voice quality is not nearly as good. I've dumped the three Yeti Blue Pro condenser mics as they're omni directional and are really bad about picking ALL ambient noises. The PR-40 is highly directional so isn't picking up NEARLY as much outside noise. Hopefully, some tweaking in post will clean up whatever artifacts that are causing my gremlin. Fingers crossed. @johnrobinson357 30.06.2018->I'll keep this short Bill. The gremlins could be electrical fields around the mic pre amp, Mike itself, ground noises OR in post production. The latter is just digital noise - too much resolution may cause that. And/or generated By/within your editing software. Sounds like a pain in the cheeks - no pun. Use a single ground source, one that really goes to earth itself to ground the audio toys - AND ground the PC doing the editing work. Good grounding can go a long way towards fixing mystery sounds, and may just solve your issues in a whack. I'm done...Good Luck i do not envy your position, remember no ground loops - single point grounds all to one ground only.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @Pengochan 30.06.2018 when putting it together again you can turn the cylinder any way you want and also maybe move it like a follower, so you can first put in springs and spools and later the pins. Also i'd use a rubber band to keep things together until putting them back in the lock.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @CKwolf741 30.06.2018 Great video as always, Bill. Just picked up the Sparrows Black Flag kit and some Abus Dimple Locks to play with! Definitely can't wait.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @SaxonCerchio 30.06.2018 Update drivers or sound card? There is a bit of scratching.
