------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @Potti314 02.04.2018 Got this lock from a friend who was in Denmark recently. She got it from her host who has just replaced the front door lock. A pretty tricky pick with the short key pins in the back and nasty drivers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @neha39 08.04.2024 Thanks for a great video. What thickness was the pick? And... was it a Euro pick?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @diggerlenny4836 04.04.2021 Great job man. I'm trying to pick 2 rukos I think same as you're one. I have no keys and I'm fairly new to picking so I'm finding it hard but I will try like you did. Medium hook start and then deeper to try finish setting pins. I hope I get it open, I want to see what's inside!<br>Thanks for sharing this...

I need to know your favotite color.           @Steel-Pinnings 10.04.2018->Potti314 Well I don't see it in my inbox... but I got spammed the other day and have been cleaning it out and might have deleted the wrong stuff. If you could please send another email to try it again. And my favorite color is Blue           @Potti314 10.04.2018->Thanks for the color - I just re-sent the email.           @Steel-Pinnings 10.04.2018->Potti314 IDK what is going on with my email... I have been starting a dedicated email for YouTube. Just to stop the junk. I have had it for over 10 years now. So bout time. Lol I will post you the new one when I get it up. Sorry for the delays and any frustration ?           @Potti314 10.04.2018->No frustration on my side buddy - just tell me when you're ready.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @DonzLockz 06.04.2018 Stunning old Ruko. Just the name is synonymous with quality and is intimidating. Pretty cool it has that sidebar slot in it too. ????           @Potti314 06.04.2018->Yeah, the bible-rod is very cool - thanks for watching. And yes, ASSA locks are always intimidating ;-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @waddac2 06.04.2018 Very nicely done mate ;o))))           @Potti314 06.04.2018->Thanks my friend :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @ccmogs5757 04.04.2018 Love these quality brand oval"s , very exotic to us in the UK :]           @Potti314 04.04.2018->Yes, these are great locks. They are also strange to me, here in Germany you usually find euro locks.           @ccmogs5757 04.04.2018->Yeah mostly euro"s (uPVC ) in the UK now , but not that long ago it was nearly all wooden doors with Yale type locks :]           @Potti314 06.04.2018->For me UK is the land of lever locks ;-)           @ccmogs5757 06.04.2018->True, most commercial/public internal doors are lever type plus years ago most domestic properties (especially Local Authority housing) were Yale cylinder - front door & 3/5 lever - back door :]           @Potti314 07.04.2018->They are pretty cool but require a larger key.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @AlbertLebel 03.04.2018 That was awesome. You did very good on that. Very tough key way to navigate.           @Potti314 03.04.2018->Thank you - the keyway is tough but fortunately has enough room to navigate sideways.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @douro20 03.04.2018 I believe those pins are hardened then centerless ground to dimension.           @Potti314 03.04.2018->That sound interesting, why do you think so?           @douro20 03.04.2018->Potti314 They are steel. It would be quite difficult and take more machining time to lathe cut them, especially to the tolerances demanded by ASSA.           @Potti314 04.04.2018->OK, checked out what centerless grinding actually means and hey, learned something new today - thanks for the inspiration buddy :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @phri6173 03.04.2018 Nice work and nice pinning pie tray ????           @Potti314 03.04.2018->Cheers - thanks for watching :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @JollyPeanut 03.04.2018 Very nice well made lock & well picked :-)           @Potti314 03.04.2018->Thank you :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @BD90.. 03.04.2018 I only see oval cylinders used in commercial applications here.           @Potti314 03.04.2018->I think that this shape is pretty common in Schweden, Norway and Denmark.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @Leonslockpad 03.04.2018 Great job my friend they can be very tricky?????           @Potti314 03.04.2018->Thanks a lot - yeah, they are tricky ;-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @TallanPick 03.04.2018 Great picking Michael, Ruko are awesome locks to pick, I have some from my friend oceanaut and they are locks that teach to pick. Great vid buddy, thanks for showing ;o))           @Potti314 03.04.2018->Thank you buddy. Having this older lock open is great but I have a Ruko Assa 2 padlock with a brand new Roku core in it - just looks the same as the one in the video but I had luck yet. The bitting is easier but the feedback is weird - I feel like I had never picked open a lock before ;-)           @TallanPick 04.04.2018->I know how you are talking about, I have a new Ruko 6 pin oval lock and it is really nasty, I think the problem is that the contact between the pick and pins is very easily lost and we do not realize it. To open them you have to be very precise when pushing the pins. It only remains to continue practicing, don't give up, sure we will see the video of that Ruko2 soon ;o))           @Potti314 07.04.2018->Will continue trying as always ;-) Thanks for the tips.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @HenrikNjgaard 03.04.2018 This us a 600 series. The gin bottle pins were only used in the 500 (and occasionally in the extremely rare 700) series, which also had the core with mantel.           @Potti314 03.04.2018->Ah, ok. Thanks for the info. I was thinking that the drivers of my Ruko are just the newer pins and the other shape (as shown by my red model) you can find in older models.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @bearsback5099 02.04.2018 Very nice job my friend.           @Potti314 03.04.2018->Thank you mate :-)
