------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @Potti314 07.11.2017 My last estimation of the pin count this time using a sample of pins to get the density.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @rfi-cryptolab4251 16.12.2018 Phoney           @Potti314 16.12.2018->Why?           @rfi-cryptolab4251 16.12.2018->@@Potti314 No, not your video. The bartle doo.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @pyratemage 10.11.2017 Potti314, you are a constant source of amazement and a pleasure to watch. I think your "guesses" go way beyond hypothetical! Thank you. I have a practice dimple lock on the way and will be "picking" out a pick set. Maybe something from Multipick? Prod.Nr.: 30248 maybe. Do you have a suggestion for a nice set? @Potti314 10.11.2017->Thank you a lot for your nice words. I have very good experiences with the spooxe dimple set. They are of great quality and have a lot of variations. But it's expensive. I have not tried the Multipick dimple set. But I quickly checked it. I don't like the fact that you only have one handle as I change picks while picking and that might be impossible to do with only one hand ;-) @pyratemage 10.11.2017->Thanks! I saw a review of the spooxe set and will be looking at those or possibly another set BosnianBill reviewed from Lock Pick Canada that is about half that price called the Souber Mul-T-Lock Pick Set. It says it is for Mul-T-Lock's but it looks like it may work with dimple locks in general. @Potti314 11.11.2017->I also have these (Souber Mul-T-Lock Pick Set) and I use them almost never. They are soft and give weak feedback. Checkout this review: https://youtu.be/SPpJ1dzOkkY @pyratemage 11.11.2017->Thank your for your feedback. I am watching it now...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @douro20 08.11.2017 I wonder why I haven't seen any Guli locks... @Potti314 08.11.2017->Funny... Guli locks, never heard of that brand. In German "Gulli" is that https://pixabay.com/de/gulli-gullideckel-schachtdeckel-306587/ Haha :-) @douro20 08.11.2017->They're a Chinese company, and one dedicated to high security locks. Up until recently they were a long-time distributor of Yale locks in China. They were acquired by Assa Abloy in 2001.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @paulcrosdale9125 08.11.2017 Very logical approach to solving this problem, fantastic. I've never been very good with complex mathematics, but I find it almost mesmerising watching people doing calculations with these formulas! I just went on gut instinct, i.e. (a wild guess).??
Good luck to you and all other entrants. ??????? @Potti314 08.11.2017->Thank you :-) I believe with all the sources of inaccuracies and errors given, a good guess is as precise as the most detailed calculation. It's just about the fun to play around with the info you have from the video. A lot of fun :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @noakeswalker 08.11.2017 What a collection of pins that Titan has. I can't argue with your pin bottle count method - I guess the bottle glass thickness might give an 'optical error' to the volume, but I am splitting hairs here :o) @Potti314 08.11.2017->Yes, the pins are very cool. A pity the the tolerances are not really tight in this lock. Haha, beside of the optical error, I think there are many more inaccuracies, but maybe they all cancel out at the end ;-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @RobKThe 08.11.2017 Nice picking! I like look of those spool t-pins. I also like the experimental approach for the pin estimate. Should be quite accurate. Cheers! @Potti314 08.11.2017->Thanks - the experimental approach has a lot of downsides and inaccuracies but it's the best method so far in my eyes. The spools are very effective - in a lock with tighter tolerances they would have been very effective.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @DonzLockz 08.11.2017 So...you impressioned the bottle with a photo and math?! Genius.??? @Potti314 08.11.2017->Hope the bottle was enough impressed and was so kind to reveal the right number ;-) Thanks buddy :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @Leonslockpad 08.11.2017 Very cool my friend a great bit of maths??????? @Potti314 08.11.2017->Cheers buddy - just for the fun of it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @WilliamMancel 08.11.2017 Watching you calculate the number of pins, I was impressed. My guesses using the funny joke method, came close to your scientific method. ?
Good luck my friend. @Potti314 08.11.2017->I calculate just for fun - because of the inaccuracies a guess is as good as a calculation I believe.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @LockNoob 08.11.2017 Again, cool choice of different locks :-)           @Potti314 08.11.2017->Thank you - cheers :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @MultiVde 08.11.2017 fyi wenn du den "key control pins" auf 180 Grad drehst dann muss die auch picken :) @Potti314 08.11.2017->Oh ja, habe ich schon gemerkt. Hab' ganz schon geschwitzt als es passiert ist.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @redcatimaging 07.11.2017 Very nice picks :). I wonder why padlocks with standard pins are often so hard for us ;). The Titan is really cool, very nice torpedo and spool-t-pins :). Your pin estimating method was even more detailed than I ever expected :D. Very good :) and actually both numbers came very very close to my numbers ;D...I was sweating a bit haha :). Thanks a lot for this entertaining video Potti :). @Potti314 08.11.2017->Haha, let's see who wins. The density method was inspired by your comment buddy - thanks a lot for that. @redcatimaging 08.11.2017->GL buddy :), you have 3 awesome guesses :). Thank you haha, I get a lot of ideas from others, so it's good to know that you got inspired by me ? :).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @dazevers 07.11.2017 Two very nicely picked locks good luck my friend I really like your pin calculation process. @Potti314 08.11.2017->Thank you buddy :-) There will be one more - hope you like it, too ;-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @waddac2 07.11.2017 Great informative video Michael and great picking. Some of those Egret padlocks can be a real pain to pick even though they are cheap Chinese locks. @Potti314 08.11.2017->Thanks buddy - yes, this lock was a bit tricky for me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @WestCoastPicks 07.11.2017 Nice picking :) your entry has been noted.           @Potti314 08.11.2017->Thank you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ @darthpaul123 07.11.2017 I love all the thought you put into it. I'm feeling good about my random guess because my number is slightly close to your well thought out estimation lol. Good luck ?? @Potti314 08.11.2017->Haha, making the thoughts is the real fun - to find new creative ways of "guessing" is very inspiring :-) Thanks for watching.
