That´s a really beautiful padlock buddy, I have one exactly the same that Mike MP sent to me, and I think is one of the most original and beautiful padlocks in my collection, I love it ;o)))<br>The dog is the logo of the manufacteur, you can see it in my 122th vid (at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bBkGBi152Y&amp;t=60">1:00</a> minute) . Mike sent me a cool key with the dog ;o)). NIce work and cool vid again my friend ;o)))
          @Potti314 28.07.2017->Oh yes, thank you for the pointer to the dog on the key. Really nice. The lock is really build well and locks great. With some spools instead of only standard pins it would have been perfect ;-)

It&#39;s because when you ae opening an Assa Abloy lock you&#39;ll be met with dogged resistance? LOL By the way, the fact that you can&#39;t close the lock without the key may be practical in some circumstances. Nice lock - thanks to Supermom :-)
          @Potti314 28.07.2017->With that mechanism you can achieve that the key can be taken out but no one can lock up the padlock without the key (for example if you are inside a room that can be locked up from outside with the lock). But usually the locks that can only be close with the key inserted are key retaining to ensure that its lockup-up before you leave (so you cannot forget it).
          @lsdlocks4673 28.07.2017->I have seen the being locked in problem at a bulk terminal facility at a port in Denmark. Poor worker there almost had to spend a weekend being locked up in a soy silo. A colleague was closing down for the weekend and forgot to look if someone was inside. After that they changed locks.  I'll be nice to them and not tell the name of the company but this was in Aarhus, Denmark. ;-)
          @Potti314 29.07.2017->Oh, that's a horrible story, but actually the fault of the person who has locked up the lock. But I definitely agree that an inherent safe designed locking mechanism it a great way to eliminate human failures.
          @lsdlocks4673 29.07.2017->Yups, gegen Dummheit ist kein Schloss gewachsen LOL   Actually, the lock is good. The problem came because people used a good lock but it was a poor choice. They have learned their lesson, thanks goodness without that poor man having to spend his weekend inside a soya silo. :-)

          @Potti314 28.07.2017->Haha, that was slow-motion opening already - my first picking on that was 1-2-3-4-5-open in a couple of seconds. And the long way that you have to turn the plug gave some bonus time ;-)

Nice looking lock...I like the fairly unusual latching mech. and not shimmable.The dog on the packet doesn&#39;t look too aggressive to me though :o)

Beautiful looking FAB :D, the color and the hammered finish are really nice. Cool to know that FAB is a czech company :), I have some FAB euros ;). The locking mechanism is a quite old design which you can find on some older padlocks. Works quite good :). Thanks a lot for sharing this nice souvenir Potti :).
