I&#39;ve never been able to pick these. The serrations feel like spools and you&#39;re constantly dropping into fake false sets.<br>Although clearly someone just snapped it, maybe combine this core with a stronger cylinder and you&#39;ll have something pretty good!

Finally a lock like this. My door locked with the keys inside the apartment and so far every american lockpicking tutorial was on the easy locks. Here in Germany almost all locks are serrated and it&#39;s hard to even get the tool into the keyhole let alone pick it

When do i use top of the keyway tension and when bottom?
          @t-rex4211 09.09.2024->I think explained it- when it’s got a deep cut in the key. Guess that’s determined by feel as you won’t see the key first ?

I have just started really and am trying to learn individual pin picking which is much harder than it looks; just getting the feel for each pin and what is actually a &#39;click&#39;. This is some of the most educational stuff out there. Thanks so much. Paul.
          @Spacecadet3890 03.12.2023->Lock noob is 100x better for pickers. Lpl makes good videos but not nearly as geared towards actual pickers as noob

European locks aren&#39;t installed with the pins upwards, but with the pins downwards. Upwards makes it easier.

I have a padlock with this profile. Successfuly opened with city rake.. its really hard to single pin it .. tried with short hook and i didnt open it

I forgot my keys and came to learn how to pick my own lock because I don&#39;t want to pay 50 euros to enter my own appartement ????? I&#39;ve become my own Thief.

Is it impossible to pick it in the upright position I wonder. I once tried to pick one closed where I needed to lock up but forgot the key all the way at home. The thing had a single serration on the bottom of key pin, the first one at least anyway. Just a little tension and they all bind hard.

but what if you didnt see the key?<br>most of the time<br>picking a lock means that the key is gone<br>and we wont have a guide
